The Breakaway Academy was established in 2009 by Fred Carr (Founder and Trainer). The concept was developed in order to fill a gap in the educational system. Having successfully achieved academically through school, college and University, Fred identified very early on that there was rarely a sufficient amount of education in presentation skills, communication skills and positive thinking. These skills are invaluable to the effective development of young people, socially and academically. Not only are they useful in further education and employment, but these skills are equally as transferable to peoples personal lives enabling them to live fulfilling and successful healthy lives . Thus, the Breakaway Academy was born.
Our mission is to create a more positive and skills enhanced youth for the future, allowing young people to achieve their potential and go on to become successful in whichever career path they choose.
We currently offer training seminars on developing Presentation and Interview skills and Confidence building workshops which are held in schools and also in the community. Each one of our seminars incorporates key elements of neuro-linguistic-programming which not only enables students to improve their practical skills but also improve their levels of confidence and well being enabling them to feel good in themselves and achieve their potential. It is hugely important in every area of our lives to feel comfortable interacting with others and being confident in ourselves. A Law graduate with years of experience in sales and marketing within the pharmaceutical sector, Fred understands the importance of effective communication and the ability to present ones self in a professional and confident manner. With a keen dedication to helping young people achieve their potential, his seminars and training sessions are fun and interactive allowing students to effectively enhance their skills whilst being inspired and enjoying themselves at the same time.
